RE encourages pupils to explore values, beliefs and celebrations from a range of faiths and worldviews in an open, respectful and developmentally appropriate way. Through stories, symbols, sensory activities and experiences, pupils learn about similarities and differences within communities. This supports their social and emotional development, promotes respect for others and contributes to their preparation for life in a diverse society.
