Parent Curriculum
Working Together to Support Every Child
This Parent Curriculum has been carefully designed to strengthen that partnership by giving parents and carers opportunities to learn more about our curriculum, understand the approaches we use in school, and gain practical strategies to support their child's learning, independence and wellbeing at home.
Throughout the year, we will offer a wide range of workshops, information sessions and coffee mornings. These sessions will provide insight into key areas of our provision, including communication, literacy, mathematics, sensory learning, personal development, careers education and our Further Education offer.
Alongside curriculum-focused events, we will welcome a variety of visiting professionals who can provide information, advice and guidance on services available to children, young people and their families. Our coffee mornings are designed to be relaxed, supportive opportunities to ask questions, share experiences and connect with other members of our school community.
We will also provide dedicated information sessions for residential visits, helping families to feel informed, confident and excited about these valuable opportunities. By understanding what pupils will experience and how these visits are organised, parents and carers can feel reassured and well prepared for these important milestones.
Whether you are joining our school for the first time or have been part of the Marjorie McClure family for many years, we hope you will find these sessions informative, practical and empowering. We look forward to welcoming you throughout the year and continuing our shared commitment to ensuring every child receives the very best opportunities to learn, grow and thrive.
Together, through partnership, understanding and shared ambition, we can make a lasting difference to the lives of our children and young people.
To Book: Please contact the school office via admin@mmc.nestschools.org to book a place at one of our events. If it is an online event, you will then be sent a Teams invitation.
