Dear Parents / Carers,

We were so lucky with the weather last week and we still managed to do our Pupils’ Day water fight yesterday even though it was not sunny. The pupils and staff had a great time getting very wet. I had warned new staff to bring a complete change of clothes including underwear but some did not believe me and paid the price of being completely soaked!

We have also had our sad but happy Assemblies this week saying Good Luck to our Year 6 pupils who move up to the Secondary Department in September and to George S who is going to another school.

Today we have said Good-bye to our Year 14 leavers, 3 of whom have been at the school longer than I have! Sebastian and Myles started here in April 2002 and Sam started here in September 2001 – 15 and 16 years in the same school! I am so pleased that all our leavers are going off to Bromley College this year so will have lots of friends to make the transition easier.

Thank you to all the parents who have written comments on the end of year reports – it is so important to hear what you think about your child’s achievements. Thank you for your important support over the last year. I also want to thank all the staff for their hard work and commitment to the school. We only have one member of staff leaving this term, Rebecca Schafer a TA in the FE group and we wish her well in her new job. Everyone else is staying with us which is great for the new term.

I hope that you all have a lovely summer break and I will see you all on Wednesday 6th September for the start of the new school year.
